Have You Seen My Heart?

Have you seen my heart?
It was gone the moment you left.
As you turned you tore it apart,
And now I'm here sad and bereft.

Have you seen my heart?
I can't find it though I try.
I try to move on and play my part,
But all I do is live another lie.

Have you seen my heart?
Without it I am weak and frail;
The skies turn grey and then I start
Calling your name but to no avail.

Have you seen my heart?
Last I knew it was with you;
Bleeding as you chose to depart
The life we had for something new.

Have you seen my heart?
Heartless I die a bit more,
With every sunset that seems to impart
A longing to see you once more.

Have you seen my heart?
I pray one day you give it back,
For it still beats though we are apart;
Bleeding to keep our love intact.

Have you seen my heart?
I sit and wait beside your door;
Praying that you'll have a change of heart,
And together we'll be forevermore.

Thanks everybody...! But don't worry, it's like they say - "You only hurt the ones you love..." eh? @blackestred: I did here about Iron Maiden's gig... and if I wasn't knee deep in assignments, I'd be there singing along with Bruce Dickinson... :-(

let me do it dis way-
Hard to take as it may
"Have you seen my heart?" u say
But when the pain subsides
Wit time like poerful tides
You'll look back to know n smile
At what u've been denyin 4 a while
That she's the one who lost, a treasure
Someone who truely loves her! :-)

i've been there,i should know...

@Hruaii: First off, where have you been all my life? :-)

I quiver with curiosity -
My mind drawn to you helplessly.
Who are you? Do you know me?
Could you lift the shrowd of mystery,
That prevents me so from learning
Of the lady so adept at rhyming?

And yes, I lost her you see,
Call it fate, or destiny,
But alas! She wouldn't stay with me!
I am no treasure for her -
My love only held her down.
I am hardly the perfect lover,
All I could give her was a frown!
For all I had were words that rhyme,
And what she needed was so much more...
Though I loved her she was never mine,
And in the end she walked out the door...

Fate or destiny,whatever the answer
I know for u it wil only get better
Who or what is a perfect lover?
And is there such a thing,i wonder?
Rhyming words,love n promise of forever
Should hav been enough 4 her not 2 leave,ever!

I don't know u but 4 ur rhymes
I believe ur curiousity must grow like vines
As yet i shan't disclose dat veiled identity
Of dis girl who's nothin but ordinary
For it's helplesly fun 4 a girl,u see
To be shrouded in mystery! ;-)

I sit still, as I close my eyes;
I try to think, get my focus right.
But the words I see tell no lies,
There, laid out in plain sight -
A ballad, in perfect rhyme!
Enchanted, losing track of time,
I tell myself that it's a lie;
It's not possible, not ever!
Thoughts of you, begin to fly
Round my head, now it's a fever -
I need to get to know you better!
So have a heart, I need an answer!
For as much as I try and deny,
Your rhymes have me, I cannot lie;
Even now though I haven't seen you,
In shades of red, black and blue,
I think of you, and form a picture,
Though I know I could never capture
Your essence, your beauty sublime,
With the simple words that I rhyme.
So please, would you hear my plea?
I beg of you, down on one knee;
A little something about yourself,
Just to help me live with myself.
If not I could never ever forgive
Myself during this life I live,
Knowing that I'd never get to know,
About the girl that charmed me so.
In dreams you'll be until you do,
So here I am waiting for you!

hahaha, I have just seen this. I love it, and I love this Hruaii girl. Have you found her yet? go, go, goooo...
"Its helplessly fun 4 a girl, u see/
to be shrouded in mystery" I looooove this *big grin*
U don't deserve her! haha, being mean, but jeez, u start talkin about one girl and then u immediately pounce on Hruaii... still, its understandable, she sounds great

@ku2: Well... I've just seen your comment! I apologize, first off - I don't usually take the time to backtrack and check on my earlier posts... something I decided to do tonight.. rather this morning (jeez it's already 5am and I haven't slept!) Anyways... unfortunately this little exchange of rhymes didn't end well... look for "Ballad of the Broken" for more insight :(
